Fair greetings to Their Majesties of the Middle Kingdom and the Populace of the Barony of Donnershafen from Forester Wolfrick and Lady Evelyn.

The time approaches to invest a new Baron and Baroness and we humbly submit our letter of intent for consideration.

​

From our first event, Vikings Come Home, we were so completely enthralled that we jumped into the SCA with both feet. We were drawn in by the friendship of those we had just met and we continue to make new friends as we go on this amazing journey.

​

At that first Vikings Come Home I became the Baronial Archery Champion, then Deputy Seneschal. Within a matter of months, I took over as Seneschal, a post that I held until recently. Along this journey I have been honored to be recognized as a member of the Greenwood Company and the Order of the Dragon’s Heart. I am authorized in armored combat, combat archery and siege weapons. I offer service as an Archery Marshal, Youth Combat  Marshal, and Armored Combat Marshal. I am the current Pentamere Regional Archery Commander. Lady Evelyn recently became our Baronial Chronicler and has also been Donnershafen's youth minister, a position she maintained for over 8 years. She has also served as Baronial thrown weapons champion.

Our goal as Baron and Baroness would be to focus on recruiting efforts. Membership activity suffered from the pandemic that plagued our lands. Through a coordinated effort to reach out to inactive members as well as seek out new points of contact for potential members, we hope to grow our number. During our time with the Barony, we coordinated participation in the Trout Festival parade in Kalkaska, a booth at the Blazer Bash for Kalkaska Schools and a demonstration at an event called Pop Culture Con in Cadillac Michigan. The con was the most successful, which led to adding many valued members to our populace. By analyzing which aspects have been most successful, we can look to add recruiting opportunities that align with a greater chance of success.
